tuning my piano

i'm an architecture student, but i don't want to talk about architecture.

the idea here is not to gripe about the vicissitudes of graduate school, or to count all-nighters, or to wax extemporaneous about the endless virtues of the gabian wall - no. that's not the idea at all.

the idea is to let out the other emily - the one with the food porn obsession, the growing collection of purple clothing, the one who likes to draw robots. that emily. i thought it was about time i gave her a room of her own, in the hopes that the imagined demands of the blogosphere might coax her into more frequent public appearances. that maybe documentation can breed creation, and propagation.

here's hoping, eh?

I love this. I'm new to your blog, and have liked it enough so far to go ahead and start from the beginning. I was attracted by the idea of packing for travel (I'm about to leave for a semester abroad) and stuck around for the great style (in both clothing and writing). This initial post is great even in itself, something I know I should do for myself as well. Thank you!
