I love the color of this shirt, but I think I'm going to have to make some adjustments to the fit once I'm reunited with my sewing machine. For now it is pretty enormous, several sizes too large overall with a hemline that reaches mid-thigh, and yesterday I considered getting it to look reasonably tucked in to these jeans to be a serious accomplishment. I suppose someday I might actually become more discerning about how well my thrift store finds fit before purchasing them, but for now I'm happy to hide a few extra yards of fabric in the seat of my pants for the sake of a cheap blue blouse.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to be more discerning about fit when I thrift, but in the end I get sucked into the "ooh, such a pretty print!" or "look at this COLOR!" that I often end up with things like your shirt, that take a lot of work to get right. I love that you're the same, and that you look so so so good in something that someone else would've left behind. The color is amazing on you. Love how wonderfully you do "simple." You and Tania inspire me to edit my outfits more!
It's funny, it feels more justifiable with things that are too big for me, but I do the same thing with things that are a little too small, which is a terrible habit! I'm always telling myself, 'Oh, maybe if I took out these darts in the back...' or 'Oh, I'll probably lose a couple pounds at some point...' and I end up with this ever-expanding pile of amazing things that don't quite fit and that I never get around to altering. A big part of the reason I started selling on etsy was to counteract (and, ahem, enable) my thrift-hoarding ways!

Such a pretty color! You honestly can't tell that it is way to big on you either. I hate having extra fabric tucked in my pants all day though. Not. Comfy.
is it long enough to wear belted, with leggings, boots and a chunky sweater?? i do love this look though...classic. and the color is great on you!
i love the oversized shirt! like paige said, you can do so much with a shirt that size!
i LOVE this look! it has that laid-back fall vibe that i'm loving right now! your blouse is great, and i love how you paired it with jeans and brogues!
I think it looks gorgeous, perfectly slouchy. But it's funny, just today I was reflecting that I almost prefer when I purchase an expensive item of clothing, then I know it's because I really want it, rather than perhaps just because it's a good deal and so I'm willing to compromise on fit or quality.
i totally get it with this shirt. it has awesome buttons! and it's such a great color! size, schmize.
I love the shirt! the whole outfit is so pulled together but still casual and fun.

Did you pick up style inspirations from each country you went to? Stockholm seems a little intimidating, how did you alter what you had to feel comfortable everywhere you went?
