brass whistle necklace - vintage via etsy / striped shirt - thrifted / belt - vintage, thrifted / skirt - homemade from a dress, Old Navy (tutorial here!) / sandals - Stockholm tourist shop
After a long night of uploading trouble, template snafus, and the usual last-minute-before-a-deadline frustrations, my stinkin' portfolio is done! Nothing to do but wait for it to be printed and delivered. Now, let us never speak of this again.
Yesterday's outfit was entirely made up of the tried-and-true - I'm still loving my new black floral skirt and my Hasbeens-esque sandals from Sweden, and just added a recently thrifted shirt to the mix. I never met a striped, bateau-neck, 3/4 sleeve shirt I didn't like, and I'm reasonably certain one can never have too many of them. (My boyfriend might contest this last claim.) Now if you'll excuse me, I have a little celebratory breakfast-and-thrifting to do.

I love your dress turned skirt! Do you just add an elastic band? I'd love a tutorial if you'd be willing!!
hooray that you finished that thing that you don't want to speak of again ;) and i'm with you, there can never be too many striped shirts!
Is that your dog? So cute! I love it's attentive face.
All my long sleeve shirts always become 3/4 length because I hate fabric around my wrists. So annoying!
I really love this!
agreed - that combo in a shirt is never, ever wrong. who's the cute pup? :)
i decided that i was going to revert to printing, cutting, and binding myself on my last portfolio. two days later, a bajillion misprints, all sorts of papercuts, and a glue debacle later i had one little, measly copy of my portfolio. so yeah, next time it will be lulu'd. sooo, congrats on finishing and enjoy your thrifting!
congrats on finishing the portfolio. Glad you managed! And now you deserve the thrifting and celebration breakfast :) super pretty outfit with that cute skirt and those shoes, love!!
Congrats on completing your portfolio. I hope you took a few minutes to celebrate all of your hard work! Love the mix of prints and your adorable pup!
haha, i kind of expected the first words of this entry to be "why? because we like you." i don't know if that reference will make sense to anyone but me.
love your mixture of patterns! it is one trend i simply cannot work out. looks great on you.
I used some of your packing advice for my trip to Europe this summer! The tote came in handy so many times! Unfortunately, even though I packed my most comfortable shoes, my poor little feet could not keep up with my boyfriend! Time to start looking into some granny orthopedics!
Very cute outfit! I'm lovin' the print mixing of prints. You made it work. :)

I really like the nude sandals - they make your legs look even longer! Brilliant!
What is there not to love about this outfit? The necklace is so unique! And in my opinion, navy is where it's at :)
