Haha, is it really necessary to include a photo of these flats in every post? Apparently it is.

Well, today was our last full day in Sweden. Tonight we pack up, and tomorrow we make our piecemeal journey back across the Atlantic and back to the 'real world.' These next few weeks (and months) will hold some major transitions for me - a new city, a new job (hopefully), and a new (and sure to feel strange!) more stable lifestyle - as well as for this blog. I am excited to start transitioning my wardrobe not only for a new season (and who isn't? Boots and scarves are the greatest!), but to accommodate these new big changes in my life. I'm looking forward to taking many of my favorite casual pieces and reinterpreting them in more work-appropriate looks - fortunately for me, most architecture offices have a pretty loose dress code. I also have at least another month of living out of my suitcase ahead of me, so I suppose in some way that will ease my transition back into regular life.

I'll be spending tomorrow doing my best to stay entertained during multiple flights (we're flying a super-cheap airline, so the odds of even having bad movies available to stave off boredom are low), but I'll be back with photos from our last few days of traveling on Thursday. It's hard to believe our seemingly-endless trip is really coming to an end! *sniff*

:(  I'm sad for you! And for me. Your blog has been an awesome way to for me to live out my fantasies of going to Europe.

you look gorgeous!!!  but i can't help but be sad that your time of living the vagabond life is ending.  i guess i'm just projecting my feelings onto you, i'm always bummed when a trip ends, no matter how short or long.  but i can't wait to see what lies ahead for you in the future!

I know this feeling so well- the excitement of new things combined with the dread of losing the ones you've so loved.  I know I'll miss your European rambling and your fantastic sartorial interpretations of the places you go (not to mention the stunning pictures!).  BUUUT...I'll also hopefully be able to see you in DC, something I couldn't do if you were so far away.  So, come on home, girl!

Safe travels and big hugs as your settle back into life in the US.

The first 3 pictures in this post totally look like they could be on the cover of a Jane Austen novel! ( I mean that in a good way)

Good luck with all of the moving! Hope you manage it  well and am so excited to hear about the new things happening in your life. The changes on the blog will be good ones, but I can understand how sad you must be now that the trip is ending. Got my email??

What a beautiful outfit to wrap up your trip in. The woven flats are so cute and the color of your scarf has me looking toward fall as well. Safe travels back and congrats on starting many new chapters in your life!

That house in the back is exactly what I want my future house to look like. Love the photos!

Its true "most architecture offices have a pretty loose dress code". Most days I show up in jeans or colour head-to-toe & no one thinks it's inappropriate. I like that they let you be creative with clothing, it makes you feel more free to be creative with your work too. Although working with some developers can be fairly restrictive design-wise. We have one client that doesn't like colour at all; everything must be the colour of mud.
