A confession: I may have been so excited that this month's Everybody Everywear theme is yellow that I jumped the gun a bit and wore mine a week early. Between the fact that I haven't had the last two months' EBEW items and that yellow is my favorite color (and a close second favorite to wear, right after pink), I admit that I am especially excited to participate this time around - and that I might have done a small happy dance when the winning theme was announced. Not to worry though, despite my early start with this skirt, I still have plenty of yellow in my bag for next week!
Tomorrow is yet another moving day - packing up my suitcase on a weekly basis is really starting to wear me down! Fortunately we'll be in our next place for a month, so we'll get a little more time to settle in (not to mention a proper kitchen, woohoo!). I'm really looking forward to this next one - it's one of my all-time favorite cities, and Chris has never been, so I get to show him around. I'll have a scheduled post up tomorrow (featuring some actual hot weather - finally!), but I'll be sharing pictures from our amazing new home on Thursday.

You look amazing in that yellow skirt and those polka dotty tights. Love your style.
By the way, love the earrings that you won in Carie's giveaway....I was hoping to snatch those up but at least they went to a good home =)

and HOLY COW I just noticed that your skirt has herbs all over it....awesome.
Thanks Julie! Yeah, I love those earrings like none other - I can't wait for Carie to get an etsy shop up and running so I can get my hands on more of her awesome designs. :)
Haha, yeah, this fabric was actually a set of kitchen curtains in a former life! There are a few mushrooms hiding in there too!
I also did a little dance too! Loving yellow right now ... love how you have mixed a printed skirt with polka dot tights.

I always think that black and yellow look too costume-y (you know, a bumblebee?) but, lady, you have pulled it off and you look nothing like bumblebee! I love this, and those tights are too fun!
I'm so glad that you posted this early, because I have a skirt similar to that one (minus the cool herbs) and I am in need of some EBEW inspiration. You always have the best looks.
Oh, it's my favorite skirt once again! And paired with those polka dotted tights, soo cute. not to mention the background - just very pretty once again. I have to say, up until last week, I didn't own one yellow thing, it always made me look weird, but I got something now in my closet and right for the EBEW! Looking forward to it as well!
Thanks Kelly! I am so psyched about this theme - I think my 'yellow' outfit is one of my all-time favorites, and I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with!
Haha, I wear black and yellow together all the time and I hadn't even thought about the bumblebee thing! The one combination I really avoid is black and orange - it looks too Halloween-y to me, and those were my grad school's colors so I got pretty sick of seeing them these last few years!
Aw, thanks dear. :)
I am definitely a little over-excited about this one, I just can't wait to browse through a whole page of cheery yellow looks!
I love these tights, but I just couldn't believe I needed to wear tights in July! Definitely very different summer weather in western Germany than I'm used to in Virginia. :)
I can't wait to see your new yellow look!
