deceptively simple
sunnies - thrifted / trench - H&M / buffalo Larch bag - custom, valhallabrooklyn via etsy / wood & brass bangle - vintage, thrifted / leather wrap watch - La Mer / gold paillette necklace - anthropologie / gold chain necklace - Forever 21 / white v-neck tee - Forever 21 / denim leggings - Target / sheer polka-dot tights - Target / gray canvas flats - UO
Whew - for something that seems like such a simple look (white tee + skinnies + trench), I sure managed to pack on the accessories! I still felt like this look came out just right, easy and comfortable for a long day spent exploring Parc de Montjuic. Well, mostly comfortable - my feet are wrecked! I thought I'd give them a bit of a break by avoiding my standard boots for a day or two, but these flats are roughly equivalent to going barefoot in terms of cushioning. Yikes - guess I'll have to make things work with my Toms for a few days, since they're the only other shoes I have!
Foot woes aside, we had a great day in the park. The weather was perfect, and we found all kinds of odd little unexpected corners in this huge park on the mountain. We rode the funicular, and got showered with mud while watching a crowd of Spaniards race and jump remote control rally cars around a curvy dirt track.
It remains completely ridiculous that this is what I do now.
I am just having the best luck with weird/awesome photobombs - I hope this trend continues!

I love this outfit, with its deceptive simplicity and accessories explosion, and really appreciate the way you've mixed these skinnies with flats (sorry about the feet, though!). Is it just me, or can you not say the word funicular without thinking of a Decemberists record? ;)
Thanks S! I definitely found myself asking C this week, "Are these pants too skinny for flats? Like, do they make me look like an elf? I mean, they're jeggings...."
Which actually prompted from him not so much sartorial reassurance as near-constant repetition of the word "jeggings" on the foggiest of pretences, but, you know, at least he didn't say it looked awful or anything :)
